The school’s Board of Governors represents the community served by the school and the wider community of the City of Sheffield. Under the Education Act of 1986 the governors monitor and assist the Headteacher in the management and development of the school. Valuable support to the teaching staff and pupils is provided by the Governors. The board comprises four representatives of the Local Authority, seven elected Parent representatives, the Headteacher, three elected Staff representatives, five Community members and two Sponsor members currently representing HSBC who have supported Silverdale languages specialism and Civica representing our BSF ICT Partners. The Community members, include representatives from Further Education and from Business and Industry.
